service provider based in Pine Bush, NY has earned the prestigious certification as a Disadvantaged
Business Enterprise (DBE). The new certification was granted based on eligibility criteria that was
established by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Certification Program (NYSUCP) handled the review and final certification. East Coast Industrial Services,
Inc. is also a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and New York City certified WBE.

DBEs are defined as for-profit small business concerns where socially and economically disadvantaged
individuals own at least a 51% interest and also control management and daily business operations. The
program was designed to provide small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals with a fair opportunity to compete for federally funded transportation
contracts.
